Visit Highlights (tentative): 
1. Get an exclusive chance to visit renowned technology giants, Tencent and Shenzhen EcoFlow Technology Ltd. 
2. Explore The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, a leading medical institution bridging Hong Kong and Shenzhen. 
3. Discover the contributions made by Hong Kong citizens through their start-ups. 
4. Engage in discussions and exchange of ideas with students and professionals from Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Dongfanghong Aerospace Science Education Base. 
5. Delve into the vibrant culture and rapid development of Shenzhen. 
6. Experience some of the awe-inspiring local landmarks. 

Fee: 
HK$800 (including a refundable deposit of HK$400 upon satisfactory completion of the programme) 
*Fee includes round-trip transportation, accommodation, costs for scheduled visits, meals, travel insurance and local transportation. 
*The deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation under any circumstances.

Completion of the programme requires:
Participants should guarantee the following FULL COMMITMENT and PARTICIPATION in the programme:
Pre-departure Briefing at 11:00 am – 12:30 pm on 6 January 2025 (Mon) at HKU
All activities in Shenzhen from 8 January 2025 (Wed) to 10 January 2025 (Fri)
Feedback survey
An individual learning journal in English (300 words) to be submitted by 12 January 2025 (Sun)
Post-trip meeting at HKU at 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm on 14 January 2025 (Tue) with a presentation for a Team Report in English (including at least 5 photos/videos taken during the programme)
Maintaining a high standard of self-discipline and mutual support with other members of the programme.
Maintaining proper behaviour and conduct, in terms of attitudes, language, participation and dress code.

*Selected sharing, photos or videos of the participants will be used in CEDARS website or social media for promotion.

Important Information for Applicants:
1. Expect interview invitations within 3 working days of the application deadline.
2. Successful applicants must confirm their offers with payment and sign the acceptance letter by the deadline in the offer email.
3. Ensure you have a valid travel document, such as a Home Return Permit (for HK citizens) or an Exit-Entry Permit or passport with a valid visa (for non-HK citizens). Participants will be required to submit a photocopy of such documents by 15 November 2024.

This tour is sponsored by the Funding Scheme for Youth Exchange in the Mainland. The Funding Scheme is jointly organised by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau (HYAB) and Youth Development Commission (YDC). Successful applicants must agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Each participant is limited to a maximum of two Mainland exchange programmes funded by YDC in the 2024-25 funding scheme year, regardless of the organising group;
2. Your personal data may be utilised by the government for opinion surveys, evaluation research, training/sharing sessions, and other related purposes;
3. By participating in the programme, you will automatically become a member of the "Youth Network" established under the HYAB and consent to receiving information on youth activities and government youth development measures (with an opt-out option);
4. Applicants must download the HKYouth+ app and register as members.
