Fees Deferment

For UGC funded programmes

Please read “Guideline on Assessment Criteria for Deferred Payment of Fees” carefully before submitting your application.

For non-UGC funded programmes

There is no provision for students of certain programmes to defer payment of fees. Please refer to “Arrangement for Deferred Payment of Fees for Part-time or Non-UGC Funded Courses” for details.

For programmes marked with "normal procedures", the assessment criteria and application procedures are the same as those of UGC-funded programmes.

Application Procedures

Complete the application form and submit supporting documents on-line <https://www.cedars.hku.hk/onlinedefer> at least 5 working days before the due date.
We will contact you for an interview should the need arises. If you do not hear from us, you should be able to check your application result on-line through the STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM within 5 working days.

Payment upon Admission and Payment of Deposit

Students are required upon admission to pay a deposit or a portion of the annual composition fees to confirm their acceptance of the offer. As the purpose of such payment is to reserve you the place, deferment is normally not allowed.
