Description: Hong Kong is very convenient, you can buy all you need for your new “home” within a 10-min walk. It is common for Hong Kong people to get their food and other groceries in wet markets. These markets offer fresh, local ingredients at a competitive price. You will have a chance to visit the wet markets closest to the campus. You will also be introduced to other stores nearby, including drugstores, fruit stores, grocery stores, optical shops, laundry stores, hair salons, supermarkets, and many more. After running errands, we will take you to go Yum Cha, which is a popular practice in Cantonese culture that we eat dim sum and drink tea. Dim sum is a style of cuisine prepared as small bite-sized portions of steamed, pan-fried or deep-fried food served in a bamboo steamer. In Hong Kong, we usually go to Yum Cha with our family and friends during weekends and gather together as a family or social function. (Please be expected to pay about HK$100-150 to cover your own expenses.)
