Do you want to gain first-hand information and practical tips from industry practitioners across various career background? Are you ready to get inspired and discover your unique path ahead?

 

Join the coming Job Secret Decoder Networking Session which provides you with an opportunity to explore on a range of career field, uncover your own future aspirations and expand your professional network. In this face-to-face session, young HKU alumni from different industries and background will be there to share their experiences, stories and insights. You will be able to meet and connect with industry experts from insurance, start-up, FMCG, investment banking, education and real estate.

Co-founder, Inspect Element (technology venture builder and software development agency)

 • Previously worked at Bowtie (health insurance startup) and Snapask (education startup)leading product development and growth marketing  

 • Having worked in HK, Taipei, Singapore, and California in his 9 years career in technology


 

Desmond Chu
Director, P&G

Serving on its Hong Kong and Taiwan business, specializing in FP&A and brand strategizing

Took on senior managerial role of Greater China market, oversaw the financial planning and the entire operations of Vidal Sassoon, including end-to-end management of supply chain, sales activities, and service and financing support

Before joining P&G, started his career with the consulting industry, focusing on consumer products and retail consulting


 

Geoffrey Lee
Manager - Capital Transactions, Link REIT

Focusing on overseas real estate acquisitions, mostly on Australia

Team coverage spanning across retail, office, and industrial and investing across direct, partnership and platform opportunities

 


Nate Yen
Founder, PsyTime Hong Kong

• Having spent 8 years in the banking and financial industry with professional qualifications such as CFA and FRM

Launched his own company PsyTime Hong Kong to help individuals and corporations strengthen their mental capital which can lead to psychological resilience and business success

 

 

Nelson Tam
Vice President, IBD, Morgan Stanley

Class of 2015, majoring in Accounting and Finance

Vice President with the APAC Financial Institutions Group (FIG) of Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division

Prior to Morgan Stanley, worked in the FIG team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and HSBC 



Tiffany Ching
Data Scientist, Carnot Innovations

• Specializing in AI, machine learning, and causal inference within the smart building industry

• Her expertise lies in developing applications that optimize energy usage and drive sustainability in smart buildings


 

Vanisa Ip
GM Teacher

Class of 2019, majoring in Economics and Chinese Studies

During her studies, actively joined several volunteer projects serving teenagers, such as HKU Nurturing Global Leaders, Fujia Shenzhen project, and Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program
