Our Happy Thursday – Tea from Around the World brings you exciting opportunities to explore diverse beverage cultures—from tea to soup, chocolate, and coffee—while connecting with your HKU peers this semester.
Student hosts from various countries and regions will share special drinks and snacks from their homelands, along with fascinating stories about their local beverage traditions and culture!
CEDARS-GE has been organising this cultural exchange programme since 2017. Student hosts from Australia, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Jamaica, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Mainland China, Morocco, Myanmar, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and Vietnam have shared their traditional beverages and snacks.
