新一學年，GE從新出發，Begin/Again。與同學共同策劃多個節目，誠邀校內所有電影迷，參與策劃Filmtastic，一個電影迷的聚腳地，分享對電影的熱愛，細味光影世界的醉人美景。

In the new semester, CEDARS-GE starts anew themed “Begin/Again”. Collaborating with our student curator, we have planned multiple events and movie lovers in HKU are cordially invited to join “Filmtastic”, a place for cinephiles to meet, discuss and share the films they love.

由Filmtastic策劃，踏上以「人性的拉鋸戰：善與惡在內心的較量」為主題的電影之旅，剖析內心善與惡的抗衡，並見證主角靈魂中的無窮鬥爭。在向善與野性本能的碰撞間，暴露了身為人類的複雜和矛盾。綜觀歷史，我們總並存於天堂與煉獄。通過電影，走過但丁的神曲之旅，深入電影的呼吸與脈搏，探討人類共同命運，感知光影，感悟人生。
Join us on a cinematic journey as we delve into the eternal struggle of good and evil within human nature. In "The Tug-of-War Within," witness the relentless battle between virtue and malevolence, uncovering the profound depths of our shared humanity. Throughout history, light and darkness have coexisted, and now we explore this inner conflict, the Yin and Yang of the soul, through the lens of film. Let's embark on this introspective journey with "Filmtastic".

 | EnYu Yap (BSc Year 3) Meet En Yu, the dynamic moderator of the Filmtastics. Donning a lab coat by day as a year 3 chemistry student, En Yu unleashes her passion for films and sparks vibrant conversations about the silver screen. With popcorn in one hand and film trivia in the other, she effortlessly blends her life with her love for cinema. From analyzing storytelling to dissecting on-screen chemistry, En Yu infuses every discussion with a dash of curiosity and a whole lot of movie magic. Get ready for an amazing film experience like no other! |
 | Fiona Wang (BA Year 1) Hi, I am Fiona Wang from mainland China, who is a year 1 BA student. I have always believed that the precious thing about movies is that they can help us get rid of our personal limitations and have a real and profound experience of life. Hopefully, our film discussions about human nature can help us rethink ourselves and improve ourselves. Let's embark on the movie journey together! |
 | Sonny So (MSc Year 1) Meet Sonny, the host of Filmtastic who always asks why. Other than analysing data to understand life and reality, Sonny likes consolidating principles from relatable movie scenes and discussing the deeper meanings of them. Sonny believes the best storytelling is about presenting the audiences with a scenario or a situation that the audiences conclude the message themselves and reflect their own values, beliefs and principles. Come watch a movie together adding a bit of intention. |
