Urban farming is a growing global trend that is helping to make cities throughout the world more sustainable. During this workshop series, we will learn how to grow our own organic vegetables and herbs at the HKU rooftop farm, and learn how to apply permaculture concepts that will enable us to grow food and live more sustainably. By becoming more in tune with our natural surroundings and recycling food waste, we can reduce our impact on the environment. During our last workshop, we will make a delicious farm-to-table meal using the fresh produce we have grown!
During the programme, each participant will be allocated a planter at the HKU Rooftop Farm for their learning exercises and participants may visit the farm at specific daily timeslots.

Bio of Instructor(s) 導師簡介:
Mr. Hui Fai
Hui Fai is a Royal Horticulture Society (RHS) certified horticulturist and rooftop farming specialist. He earned the IFOAM Organic Agriculture Inspector certification and has worked on production organic farms in Taiwan. He is the co-founder of Go Green Hong Kong, Hong Kong’s number one sustainable living website that has been featured in TVB, RTHK, Mingpao, Oriental Daily and many local magazines. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and earned a law degree from the University of British Columbia.
