Hand-building Ceramics Workshop
Learn about the history and background of ceramic art-making! You will get to know handbuilding techniques and then apply these skills into practice. The workshop is suitable for all levels of ability.

Each student can create 4 pieces of works in total during the entire workshop (one of them will be a co-curated pieces as the GE collection)

Mr. Sze Sai Chin Alex
Sze Sai Chin Alex obtained his BA degree in Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2013.  After graduating, Alex continued to study and research into ceramic art via multiple programmes in the USA, Hong Kong, and China (Jingdezhen). Alex has over seven years of experience in teaching ceramic art.
 
Mr. Manho Cheung
Manho Cheung graduated from the Hong Kong Baptist University and has 6 years of experience in teaching ceramic art. He is interested in the inter-relationship between the makers and the users. His works are “Plain and nuked”, showing the original texture of clay. He keeps his style very simple and practical, but the special glazes and distinctive brushstrokes found on his works give them a unique character.
 
Ms. Candice Liu
Candice Liu holds a master's degree from the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She specialises using hand building techniques  to create small-scale sculptures and displays.
