Organic Farming in Hong Kong – Urban and Rural Experiences
Have you always wanted to grow your own lettuce, basil, cherry tomato or mint? During this workshop series, you will learn how to grow your own organic herbs and vegetables on the HKU Rooftop Farm and gain hands-on field experience at Wildroots Organic Farm. This programme combines principles and practice, so you have a solid foundation and understanding of how to grow your own food. During the field trip to a production farm in the New Territories, you will have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and experience the real life of a farmer. Students can join the Rooftop Farming Team after satisfactory completion of this programme.

Bio of Instructor(s) 導師簡介:
Mr. Fai Hui
Fai Hui is a certified horticulturist and organic farmer who specialises in rooftop farms. He is the founder of the ‘Wildroots Organic Farm’ and the website, GoGreenHongKong.com. Prior to his current career, he managed Business Process Reengineering (BPR) projects. He graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto (Economics and Philosophy) and earned a law degree from the University of British Columbia. His environmental initiatives have been featured on CNN's Eco Solutions and in the South China Morning Post and Ming Pao.
