[Extended Deadline] Recruitment of CEDARS-GE Intern – Graphic Designer / Copywriter

Summary 內容: At CEDARS-GE, students are the key players in our daily innovation. Co-curation and co-creation are our strong convictions and we have put them into action. In the last few years, GE Interns and GEST (GE Student Team) members launched several successful social media campaigns and boosted our reach and engagement by interacting with students via different social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, YouTube and Facebook). We are now looking for creativity and contribution from fresh faces of different backgrounds with a unique combination of interests and skills for enhancing our social media platforms in the new academic year.

The successful candidates will execute publicity initiatives on online platforms, which portray the GE Enrolment and GE Gatherland with maximum positive buzz and impact. During this paid period, i.e. 14/8 (Mon) to 24/11 (Fri), the interns will work as a team and be part of CEDARS-GE.


Number of post(s): 2 (including one graphic designer, and one copywriter)

Internship period: 14 August to 24 November 2023
(The internship period is negotiable based on your availability.)

Responsibilities:
  • Create and publish high quality Instagram content, including posts and stories;
  • Launch social media campaign(s) for GE Enrolment Day to promote GE programmes and create social buzz;
  • Interact with students on Instagram, and boost reach and engagement;
  • Assist in handling ad-hoc copywriting and design tasks.

Requirements:
  • Communication and writing skills in both English and Chinese;
  • Able to commit to 2 half-day per week from 14/8 (Mon) to 24/11 (Fri);
  • (For designer) Knowledge and experience in using Adobe Creative Suite to create printing or online content are required;
  • (For copywriter) Experience in managing social media accounts for an organisation or page, knowledge of Instagram and YouTube, and other social media best practices are required;
  • Motivated, independent worker with the capacity to lead and work well with others;
  • Interested in GE Programmes, open-minded and willing to learn and accept challenges;
  • Creative with a strong sense in design and marketing.

Honorarium:
Interns will be paid an honorarium upon successful completion of their internship, bonus will be given depending on the quality of work.
