Themed 'dialogue', CEDARS-GE has curated a series of co-curricular programmes to inspire you to actively participate in dialogues - with yourself, others, and your unique experiences.
Join us to kick off the new semester with energy and engage in a ‘dialogue’ with music at the GE Enrolment Lunchtime Gig! Enjoy performances by talented HKU students, including exceptional singer-songwriters from the Keen Lyricist Quest (堅詞創作).
Additionally, take the opportunity to learn more about our programmes and connect with fellow schoolmates who share a passion for music and creativity.

Hello, I am a local student who loves to play the guitar and listen to music of different kinds, regardless of genre, language, and era. The quote ‘music makes people free’ has always resonated with me deeply. Whenever I am playing or listening to a good song, I find tremendous joy and feel that my soul is liberated. Hope that the gig will not be solely our performance but rather a musical experience for all of us to immerse ourselves in the sea of melodies!

Hi, I'm Teresa~ a girl who loves to sing and play the guitar. I especially enjoy when the music and the scene complement each other perfectly, like when a beautiful guitar melody plays as the leaves gently drift down in the wind. In those moments, it feels like I'm living inside a movie, or that we're starring in our own film.

The Gurrling 是一位出生於倫敦、現居香港的獨立音樂唱作歌手。自四歲起，她接受小提琴訓練，並在大學期間開始接觸歌曲創作和結他。取材於她的日記，The Gurrling的音樂主題涵蓋了悲傷、希望與愛，並以柔和的結他及唱腔編織著真摯的故事。她多是在家中創作，為她的寵物表演。
The Gurrling is a London-born Hong Kong-based indie artist. She was classically trained as a violinist from the age of 4 and has since branched out into songwriting during her university years. Her music encompasses themes of grief, hope, and love; explored in an authentic and poetic style inspired by her journal entries — written at home with her pets as her only audience.
