1. Governance Structure
The University's catering policy is set by the
Committee on Student Affairs (CSA) in consultation with its sub-committee, the
Committee on Catering (CoC). The Centre of Development and Resources for
Students (CEDARS) is responsible for the monitoring of contract compliance by
the caterers and execution of decisions by the CSA and the CoC. CEDARS is also
responsible for day-to-day liaison with the Caterers and monitoring of their
quality of service. The Consumers' Groups for different catering outlets also
conduct surveys and collect feedback from staff and students on the quality of
food and services at their respective outlets. Besides, the Safety Office (SO)
and CEDARS are responsible for conducting regular site inspections on the
catering outlets to ensure compliance of food hygiene and safety requirements
of the operation of the catering outlets.
