Extra-curricular Activity Loan: All year round

Interest-free loans are available to support expenses for joining extra-curricular activities in Hong Kong. Such loans are opened for application any time during the year.

Eligibility:
  • Loans are means-tested.  Level of awards depends on nature and costs of the activity and applicants' family financial circumstances.
  • Priority goes to those without other source of university support and who have successfully applied for the Government TSFS scheme.
  • Normal level of support is up to $3,000.

Application Procedures:
  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Call CEDARS at 3917 2305 for an appointment to meet a student advising officer for assessment of your needs.
  3. Bring along your completed application forms and all the relevant supporting documents on the day of the interview. You should be able to provide details of the dates/duration and estimated expenses of the activity as well as your own budgeting plan at the time of the interview.
  4. You should apply to CEDARS at least 14 working days prior to your activities.
