Sketching HKU

*** Due to the current Pandemic situation, this programme will be postponed to the Summer Semester in June. Please stay tuned for our further announcement. ***

It is easy to take photos of the cityscape nowadays, but have you thought of sketching it? Follow artist Elaine Chiu and sketch the iconic buildings on campus with pencil and watercolours! Don’t worry about the fundamentals— you will be guided through the process, from drafting to colouring. Participants will finish two paintings, one each of the Main Campus and Centennial Campus, respectively. The sketching practice will be divided into two parts: (1) introducing sketching and perspective drawing in pencil; (2) focusing on watercolour and its application. Elaine will also be there to take any questions you may have about becoming a professional artist!

To conclude the programme, participants’ works will be exhibited, and there will be an opening reception giving you a taste of being a contemporary artist!
