Service Opportunities this Summer
With the second semester drawing to an end, you will soon be off school. This message provides you with useful information for planning a fruitful and rewarding summer holiday. Read on!
CEDARS organizes and advertises a number of learning activities. These include summer internships, exchange programmes, culture tour, etc. To encourage students to learn through serving others, we will launch a Social Service Week. This Week will complement the Social Service Award which is to be held on 25 April 2009 to command students who are committed to voluntary services. Details are as follows:

| 17 April, 5:30 pm, T1, Meng Wah Complex "1 KG More" is an innovative social enterprise founded by a young IT professional. The "1 KG More" practice snowballed into a national movement, creating a new industry known as "Voluntourism" (See more) |

| Dialogue with Volunteers | |
| Students and friends of HKU will share their life-changing experience in different service opportunities with you. Sharing sessions will be held on 21 and 22 April. (See more) |

| Social Service Award |  |
| Students who have made outstanding contributions in social service will be commended in the Prize Presentation Ceremony which will be held on 25 April at Loke Yew Hall (registration is already closed) | |
